The word church in the Greek means assembly of people. Therefore, the church is the assembly of born again people. If the people are not born again then it is not a gathering of the born again people, it is then considered to be a not born again church. Born again church does not differentiate nor do they care.
We need to define born again Christian. There are so many meanings going on today. The word Christian comes from the reference first made to the disciples in Acts 11:26. Since the born again church lost the born again experience over the years and became a biological growth entity, the term born again Christian was needed.
The whole reason for Christ to come and die on the cross was to pay the ransom, for the sin of Adam. The ransom had to be paid by a human being through shedding of his blood. However, the blood had to be pure and untainted by human sins.
Only way that can be done is for God himself to be born in human flesh, through being born through a woman, yet without contaminating with a human (man’s) seed. I believe born again church should realize and base their purpose from this epic doctrine.
That is why the virgin conception of Mary was important. She has to be a virgin so no man ‘knew; her sexually, the Holy Spirit came in and became the seed for the woman to grow the God-child in her. Once he is born into the world, he is now pure and sinless.
He has to continue to live in human form as sinless. He did that. Finally, he bled and died on the cross and gave up his life. Third day he rose again, as a permanent victory over death itself. This gives the born again church meaning for existing.
The penalty for sin is death. It is a physical death as well as a spiritual death. The soul never dies, but the relationship with God is gone and thus the soul loses Him. The soul has to belong to either the Holy world of God or the evil world of Satan. There is no middle ground. Majority of born again church have ignored this fact.
The whole salvation issue has to do with belonging to a kingdom. Death of the soul is means Hell bound instead of heaven bound. That is the job of the born again church. Jesus came to take us to heaven. That is what a Christian is. We have been rescued from the Satan’s kingdom.
In addition, as long we live here; God will sustain and provide the grace to live here in earth. When the last enemy death comes, Jesus has already won the victory; and we will be resurrected with him, or caught up to be with Christ in the air. Does a born again church feature this as the main content and concern?
